Protective Knot Amulet
This is a simple way to make a protective talisman to wear drawing upon the power of the tarot deck.
Before you begin, make sure your tarot deck is cleansed and charged, and consider cleansing yourself with smoke or a few sprinkles of moon water. Set yourself to work where you will not be disturbed, under the light of the moon.
Supplies
Embroidery floss or fine rope or cord in any color you desire. Typically protective colors are black, red, blues or purples. But please pick any colors that you personally associate with protection.
The Hermit, The Devil, or The Hierophant tarot card - these cards are all three associated with earth and grounding.

Instructions
Under the light of the moon, spread out your tarot deck in a circle that you can sit on as you knot your string and perform the spell. Place your chosen card where you can look at it as you work. I like to set it upright with candles flanking it.
Close your eyes and visualize yourself as safe and shielded from any unwanted or negative energy.
Spend a few minutes visualizing, then when you are ready, begin knotting the string. Space each knot about 1/2” apart. You will be tying five knots. As you tie each knot, speak your intention aloud using a short, simple phrase such as “I am always safe.”
The knots will capture your energy and hold your intention for as long as the knots stay tied. When you are done tying the five knots, tie the string around a wrist or ankle. Trim the ends. Wear the amulet until it falls off naturally.
