Whenever I am struggling to understand the people in my life, their perspectives, or conflict between us, I like to spend some time with this tarot spread.
Set the mood. Choose a comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. Light a candle, relax in nature or on your back patio, enjoy a cup of tea. Then place yourself in an open and relaxed state of mind. Consider a quick cleansing ritual before beginning.
Hold the deck between the palms and close your eyes. Breath deeply in and out of your nose and imagine a light at your heart gradually growing brighter and brighter. Visualize the light radiating out in all directions until you are surrounded, in the middle of a large, glowing sphere of white light.
Take your time as you draw each card, allowing the question to flow from you into the top of the deck before revealing the card.
Card 1 - What energy am I bringing to this relationship?
Card 2 - What energy are they bringing to this relationship?
Card 3 - How do I view this person?
Card 4 - How do they view me?
Card 5 - How do I subconsciously feel about this person?
Card 6 - How do they feel subconsciously about me?
Card 7 - If nothing changes, what is the outcome of this relationship?
Card 8 - How can I improve this relationship?
Remember that anytime we are analyzing the cards for insight into the subconscious mind, we may struggle with new or uncomfortable realizations about ourself. Sometimes the answers are painful. Try to look at the cards as dispassionately as you can and journal anything that comes up.
