Witchy Wildcrafting

Wildcrafting

If you have ever picked wild dock, or gathered huckleberries in Montana, you have wildcrafted. Wildcrafting and foraging is the practice of gathering plants from “wild” or uncultivated places. Most of the plants humans ate and used for medicine were at one time in history foraged. Many plants such as dandelion, wild plantain, and elderberries love to grow around developed areas.

Note: Many wild growing herbs and edibles are endangered. These plants should never be gathered in the wild, rather purchase from an ethical source or cultivate in your own garden. Often alternatives to these plants can be found.
