The cards of your tarot deck are an excellent and easy way to represent the elements within your magick and spell work. Use any four cards from the Minor Arcana to represent each element as you call them in.
A witch might use elements such as a candles, soil, fresh herbs, salt, figures, wooden tools, or feathers to represent the elements in a ritual. Tarot cards work in a similar fashion and are especially useful for calling in the elements when you don’t have a lot of materials on hand to choose from.
Traditionally each suit marks a different element and direction.
Pentacles - earth/north
Cups - water/west
Wands - fire/south
Swords - air/east
Choose a card within each suit that speaks to you and relates to the spell or ritual you are embarking upon. You can also use cards form the four suits to stand in for the elements on your alter space.
